Park It Right Here In the Great Canadian Wilderness: Provincial Parks Just North of Toronto
Please note: Our new ‘Great Canadian Wilderness’ website has replaced the old one that ran under our company name, Explorers’ Edge. From time to time in an older post, you may see references to Explorers’ Edge.
The Great Canadian Wilderness is home to iconic national and provincial parks, some of which, in addition to being open year-round, host very cool events and activities (guided wolf howl in Algonquin Park anyone?).
Most are close to local outfitters that have rental equipment for overnight camping or day trip expeditions. If you want creature comforts after a day of outdoor fun, click here to find accommodations close by. Want to experience an Ontario Park in the region but don’t have a ride? Check out Park Bus and its trips to Grundy Lake Provincial Park, French River Provincial Park and Algonquin Park.
