Muskoka Lakes Farm & Winery
Muskoka Lakes Farm & Winery (previously known as Johnston’s Cranberry Marsh & Muskoka Lakes Winery) is open for visitors year-round. Our Bog to Bottle Discovery runs every day at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm. This guided tour of the cranberry marsh is followed by a tutored tasting of award-winning wines. It’s a Muskoka ‘Must-do’ and a Canadian Signature Experience! Drop by anytime to taste wine, hike/skate/snowshoe the trails or shop in our locally-inspired wine and gift store. Seasonally, there’s always something exciting happening!
Spring is Maple Syrup season! The daily tour expands to include the sugar bush and sampling of sap to syrup to wine. Explore the nature and interpretive trails as the forest comes alive and trillium abound. Try finding hidden geocaches – a high tech treasure hunt. The deep burgundy colour of cranberry vines in spring makes for striking pictures.
Summer is patio time – enjoy a glass of wine and local cheese plate on the sunny patio. Immerse yourself in blueberries with the exciting Blueberry Hill tour and taste experience. Make a point of visiting when the cranberries are blossoming in late June and July.
Autumn is cranberry harvest! When the fall colours are at their peak, there are wagon rides, helicopter rides, delicious food, fresh cranberries and even the chance to put on chest waders and take the Cranberry Plunge!
Winter means the Ice Trail is open for skating! You can also snowshoe on wooded trails through a Muskoka winter wonderland (skate & snowshoe rentals & skate sharpening available). Enjoy a glass of hot mulled wine and a snack from the winter menu. Afterwards, warm up by one of the outdoor fires.
