The Route: Friday, October 2 – Sunday, Octoner 4, 2026
Friday — Ride up in the evening and settle into Deerhurst Resort.
Saturday — Carve a 511 km northwest loop through the Almaguin Highlands and along Georgian Bay. Stop at the surreal Screaming Heads, sit down for a waterfront lunch in Parry Sound at Legend Spirits co., and land back at your homebase at Deerhurst Resort in Huntsville for the night.
Sunday — Cross Algonquin Park on Highway 60 at peak colour, stop for a coffee break at the Portage Grill right on the shore of the iconic Canoe Lake, wind down through Dorset, and point your front wheel home.
This is a self-guided package. You ride your own bike at your own pace, following a route built by riders who have spent a decade ground-truthing Ontario’s best roads. A support vehicle with a trailer is on call the entire weekend.
What a Ride’s photo and video crew comes along for the whole route, so you can keep your phone in your pocket and stay in the moment. Each rider gets 10 photos, a 30-second reel, and a 2-minute video to download and share once the ride is done.

Important Information
Self-guided tour. This is a self-guided motorcycle touring package. Participants operate their own motorcycles at their own risk and at all times remain solely responsible for the safe and lawful operation of their vehicle. The package consists of accommodations, dining reservations, a curated route guide, and support services. No guiding services are provided or implied.
Waivers and insurance. All participants must sign a liability waiver electronically prior to purchase, and must declare that they hold valid, current motorcycle insurance for the duration of the tour. Riders must hold a full motorcycle licence valid in Ontario.
Weather. The tour operates rain or shine. Riders should come prepared for early-October conditions, including cold mornings and the possibility of rain.
Accommodations and itinerary. Listed accommodations, restaurants, and route details are subject to change; any substitution will be of equivalent value and quality. Fall colour timing is a natural phenomenon and cannot be guaranteed.
Minimum participation. This tour requires a minimum of four (4) booked riders to operate. If the minimum is not met, all participants receive a full refund. Bookings close September 11, 2026.
Photography. Portions of the tour will be photographed and filmed. Participants grant usage permissions as set out in the media release signed at booking.
Booking and consumer protection. All bookings are processed through The Great Canadian Wilderness, a travel agency registered with the Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO Reg. No. 50027320).
