Events

Muskoka Maple Trail March 8 to April 26
The most Canadian of culinary trips, the Muskoka Maple Trail features stops across the region that have infused locally-harvested maple syrup into their food and drinks. From maple-drizzled pancakes to smoky-maple ribs, to tea with a maple twist.

Maple Mayhem March 29-31
Held at the Muskoka Lakes Farm and Winery in Bala, there will be lots of fun including log sawing competition, maple-inspired food and beverage, wagon tours, wine tastings, maple taffy, pancakes and a live wood carver on the Saturday.

Almaguin Maple Syrup Festival April 6
Held at three-time world champion Hubbert’s Farm in Sundridge to celebrate 75 years in their location. There will be a pancake breakfast at the Sundridge Lion’s Club, an indoor market at the farm with local vendors, family-friendly activities, sugarhouse tours and learn to make maple syrup sessions.

Wasauksing Maple Fest April 6
Held at the Wasauksing First Nations Community Complex, it starts with an all-day breakfast and includes activities from axe throwing, face painting, maple donut eating competition, horse-drawn wagon rides and a community square dance.

Muskoka Maple Festival April 27
Downtown Huntsville hosts this family-friendly event celebrating the maple harvest. It is a full day of fun and activities, with vendors and displays, live music, street performers and – most importantly – delicious maple-inspired food! Take home some pure maple syrup, and sample everything from maple beer, to unique maple-inspired dishes both sweet and savoury. This event includes the Kiwanis kids’ Sap Run and the Post Festival Muskoka Dinner Jacket Marche where 3 Guys and a Stove will transform itself into a sugar shack featuring live fiddling music by Scotia Junction and a maple inspired dinner.

Parry Sound Maple Fest May 4
Downtown Parry Sound’s first annual Maple Syrup Festival kicks off on May 4 from 10am to 8pm. Festivities kick off with a pancake breakfast, butter tart competition, beer garden, live music and more!

Sweet Ontario Maple Weekend April 6-7

Sugarbushes across Ontario will be opening their doors for the first weekend in April. Expect a walk in the woods, some history lessons and lots of sweet treats!

Utterson Valley Blueberry Farm – Utterson. April 6-7 for maple sugar operation at their old time sugar shack and tours of the bush

Sugarstone Farm – Trout Creek. April 6-7. 10am-4pm.  Free family event on a working farm. Free samples and maple products for purchase. Antique kettle and fire demo, taffy on snow, self-guided hike with snowshoes available
