Both the Sun Dog Gallery and Stonethrow Pottery are must-see spots on a getaway to Loring-Restoule, as is the Rockcliffe Pottery & Craft Studio on Commanda Lake Road.

Nestled on a stunning property near Restoule, the pieces created at Stonethrow Pottery reflect a passion for exceptional work that is the signature of owners Bas and Lilliane Oorschot. Travelling to this cozy studio atop a hill with a magnificent view of Commanda Lake, visitors can enjoy the relaxing atmosphere the shop provides while perusing the vibrant pottery. These friendly folks instil in every visitor a fun and informative experience, one that will leave you inspired as well.

This small studio and gallery, perched in the brush along the shores of the Pickerel River at Pine Grove Resort, is particular favourite spot for visitors, cottagers, and locals alike.

Sun Dog Gallery near Port Loring also showcases souvenirs associated with First Nations, including incredible art prints. Be sure to stop in to peruse the pretty things from June to mid-October.

 

Rockcliffe Pottery & Craft Studio

Celebrating 35 years in operation in 2016, Rockcliffe Pottery & Craft Studio is a favourite stop for all who visit the Loring-Restoule area. Showcasing the work of over 90 artisans, each item is hand-made, including all the international pieces that are on display. Pottery, raku, metal work, clothing, blown glass, stained glass, books, weaving, jewellery, art work and much more can be found here, in this charming and eclectic establishment.
