Sun, Stalls & Strawberries: The Farmers’ Markets of Ontario’s Cottage Country
There are few better ways to start a morning in cottage country than with a coffee in hand, wandering a sun-dappled farmers’ market while local producers tempt you with fresh-baked bread, just-picked produce, and handmade goods you won’t find anywhere else.
Outdoor farmers’ markets are a cherished community tradition across Ontario’s cottage country — a place where residents and visitors meet, where local growers share their passion, and where the best of the season ends up on your plate that evening. With markets running seven days a week across the region, many set against the stunning backdrop of our lakes and landscape, there has never been a better reason to arrive hungry and leave with a full basket.
Here is just a list of markets that are happening in 2026 this summer – come out and shop, grab some delectable food, listen to live music or just enjoy a leisurely stroll and visit some amazing local businesses.
