The Kee to Bala 2026: Your Guide to the Season’s Lineup
One of Muskoka’s most beloved institutions is back for another summer of live music on the shores of Lake Muskoka. The Kee to Bala — that legendary wooden dance hall in the village of Bala — has announced a 2026 season packed with Canadian rock, country, dance, and everything in between. Here’s who’s taking the stage this summer.
Dwayne Gretzky — May 15 & May 16 The perfect way to kick off the season. Toronto’s Dwayne Gretzky is the ultimate feel-good live experience — a massive, joyful cover band that turns every concert into a singalong. Expect a setlist that spans decades and genres, all delivered with the kind of infectious energy that makes it impossible not to dance. Two nights, because one is never enough.
54-40 — June 26 Vancouver’s 54-40 have been one of Canada’s most dependable rock bands since the 1980s, and they still bring the goods live. With a catalogue that includes I Go Blind, One Day in Your Life, and Nice to Luv You, this is an evening of pure Canadian alternative rock — anthemic, guitar-driven, and thoroughly satisfying.
Big Sugar — June 27 Gordie Johnson’s Big Sugar are a genre unto themselves — a ferocious blend of blues, rock, and reggae that sounds like nothing else in the country. Johnson is one of Canada’s most gifted guitarists, and live, Big Sugar are genuinely thrilling. If you’ve never seen them before, this is the show to fix that.

Tim Hicks — July 11 One of Canada’s most successful country rock artists, Tim Hicks has built a devoted following with his big-voiced, blue-collar anthems. Known for high-energy live performances and a catalogue full of hit singles, this is a great summer night out for fans of country with a serious rock edge.
David Wilcox — July 18 A genuine Kee to Bala legend. The bluesy, guitar-slinging David Wilcox has been a fixture of the Canadian music scene for decades and there are few artists better suited to the intimate wooden charm of this venue. Warm, witty, and utterly at home on stage — an evening with Wilcox is always a good one.
Trooper — July 23 We’re Here for a Good Time — and nobody means it more than Trooper. The BC rock veterans have been delivering their brand of arena-ready, hook-filled rock since the 1970s, and they still pack stages across the country. A Kee to Bala night with Trooper is the summer soundtrack you didn’t know you needed.
The Trews — July 24 Nova Scotia’s The Trews are one of the most underrated rock bands Canada has ever produced — powerful, melodic, and always a ferocious live act. With hits like Not Ready to Go and Highway of Heroes, this is a night of heartfelt, guitar-driven Canadian rock at its finest.
Owen Riegling — July 24 Ontario’s own country star will be bringing his In the Feeling Tour to the Kee joined by local star Sully Burrows. Riegling will release his second album In the Feeling in April 2026.
The Glorious Sons — July 31 & August 1 Kingston’s The Glorious Sons have risen to become one of the biggest rock acts in the country, earning back-to-back Juno Awards and a reputation for electrifying live shows. Raw, passionate, and built for big rooms, they’re a natural fit for the Kee’s famous dance floor. Two nights — book early.
Loud Luxury — August 7 Time to swap the guitar for the decks. Canadian DJ duo Loud Luxury bring their infectious blend of house music and pop to the Kee for what promises to be the most high-energy night of the summer. Known for their global hit Body, they’re guaranteed to pack the floor and keep it there.

Kim Mitchell — August 8 A true Canadian rock icon. Kim Mitchell — of Max Webster fame and a beloved solo career that gave us Go for Soda, Patio Lanterns, and I Am a Wild Party — is exactly the kind of artist the Kee to Bala was made for. A legendary night of feel-good, quintessentially Canadian rock.
The Sheepdogs — August 14 & August 15 The Sheepdogs are one of the most authentically rock ‘n’ roll bands Canada has produced in recent decades — channelling the classic sounds of the 1970s with genuine craft and firepower. Saskatoon’s finest take the Kee stage for two nights on their Out All Night tour. Come for the hooks, stay for the solos.
The Beaches — August 21 & August 22 Fresh from a tour that has taken them to Madison Square Garden and arenas across North America, The Beaches arrive at the Kee to Bala as one of the hottest bands in the country. The Toronto four-piece blend post-punk attitude with an irresistible pop sensibility — and their live shows are an absolute blast. Catch them here before the venues get even bigger.
Sam Roberts Band — September 4 & September 5 The perfect way to close the season. Sam Roberts Band are one of Canada’s most beloved rock acts — thoughtful, melodic, and always magnificent live. With a back catalogue stretching from Brother Down to We Were Born in a Flame, an evening with Sam Roberts Band is the ideal send-off for another summer in Muskoka.
