Snowmobile Touring in the Great Canadian Wilderness – The Round Algonquin Park (RAP) Tour Loop
Updated November 23, 2020
Easily the most recognized and oldest provincial snowmobile loop in Ontario, the Round Algonquin Park (RAP) Tour Loop is still a favourite with riders from far and wide. And it’s easy to understand why – at over 850 kms, and travelling through each of Ontario’s distinct geographic landscapes, it never gets boring.
While many will choose to do the tour in three or four days, adding detours to take in the local club trails will make your tour even better… While the TOP trails are mandated by the OFSC to be groomed at specific intervals, it’s these smaller local trails that give the RAP it’s staying power year after year.
You’ll also be able take in unique sights you won’t find anywhere else, like the ice caves at the borders of Algonquin Park and lookouts of the Almaguin Highlands, so make it a five day trip and take in Ontario’s incredible winter scenery.
