Muskoka Named Host for 2015 Ironman Triathalon

The iconic IRONMAN competition, arguably the world’s most challenging endurance races, recently announced that the 14th annual race in the IRONMAN North American Series will take place in Huntsville, Muskoka on August 30, 2015.

Be sure to mark August 30, 2015 on your calenders as the town of Huntsville be the location for the IRONMAN Muskoka consisting of a 2.4-mile swim, 112 mile bike and 26.2 mile run around the stunning property of the Deerhurst Resort.

Muskoka is not new to the IRONMAN competitions; in previous years it has played host to the IRONMAN 70.3 Muskoka Triathalon. The IRONMAN 70.3 race will be bumped to July 5, 2015, which can also be used as an ideal training session for the IRONMAN Muskoka. The IRONMAN 70.3 Muskoka race is also happening on September 7, 2014 at the Deerhurst Resort.

The IRONMAN Muskoka will be one of 35 events on the global IRONMAN series taking athletes from Huntsville into the Peninsula Lake, along Lake of Bays, through Dwight, Dorset, & Baysville, and finally finishing up back at the Deerhurst Resort.
