July 6 – The Limberlost Challenge

Limberlost Forest Hosts the Limberlost Challenge and is set amongst a year round wilderness haven with twenty private lakes and more then 10,000 unspoiled acres of mixed forest.
Limberlost offers a variety of recreational activities. They have over 70km of hiking trails along with over 25km of groomed ski trails and a 18 hole disc golf course. Limberlost is open to the public at no charge every day of the week. They offer seven lakefront cottages, four outposts as well as 55 campsites all surrounded by extensive woodland trails and sandy beaches

You will run through technical areas that will require the nimblest of footwork and on trails that allow you to open up to your best speed, plus everything in between. You will marvel at the extraordinary beauty of this privately owned Reserve that we are so privileged to enjoy. It will leave you breathless in more ways than one!

We promise you a well marked course, enthusiastic volunteers and a post-race meal that you will write home about. You will love it!

The custodians, staff and volunteers at the Limberlost Forest and Wildlife Reserve have spent countless hours restoring these historic wilderness trails and are pleased to be able to welcome local residents and visitors to experience them.

Date: Saturday July 6th, 2024.
Location: The Limberlost Forest and Wildlife Reserve, South Limberlost Road, Township of Lake of Bays. It is halfway between Huntsville and Dwight.
Race distances: 7km, 14km, 28km, 42km and 56km.
