The Museum on Tower Hill – West Parry Sound District Museum

17 George St, Box 337, Parry Sound, Ontario

The Museum on Tower Hill is dedicated to preserving and sharing the history, art, and culture of the West Parry Sound District. We do this through dynamic exhibits and programs, community involvement, and the exploration of the natural environment to enrich our community. The museum also hosts a number of unique events throughout the year; visit the events section of their website for an updated listing.

The E. Roy Smith Room is home to the Museum’s permanent collection and tells the story of Parry Sound. The gallery houses all manner of items from beautiful handcrafted porcupine quill and bark baskets to the tools of the local doctor. Through all the items in this gallery, you can learn about shipwrecks, the logging trade, the early days of northern life, and much more. Our friendly raccoon eagerly awaits your arrival.
