July 7 – Music on the Barge: Motown Mania
The Music on the Barge concert series is the largest outdoor concert series north of Toronto and draws thousands of seasonal and permanent residents to the shores of Gull Lake to enjoy a great evening of musical entertainment at this unique waterfront setting on Sunday nights at 7:30pm.
More than a record label, “MOTOWN” became a style and a legend that forever changed the history of music. Emerging from the passion of millions of fans that were touched by this music, is the tribute band Motown Mania.
This act brings back the greatest hits from the likes of Diana Ross & The Supremes, Smokey Robinson, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder, The Commodores, Gladys Knight & The Pips, Aretha Franklin, The Four Tops, Marvin Gaye, the Jackson 5, James Brown, and more incredible artists that blossomed during the Soul and R&B movement of the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s.
Relive the sights and sounds of Motown, with the only band that recreates the moves, the outfits, and the music. Motown Mania is a high energy show guaranteed to get you dancing and singing along to the classic vocals in full harmony, horns, and a rhythm section, providing non-stop music and memories.
