November 25 – Christina Hutt Trio

Don’t miss Christina Hutt, Sean Cotton and Mike Phillips playing together in Port Carling on November 25th. Come on out to this fabulous evening of music & do bring your voices.

CHRISTINA HUTT can fill a room with her rich, resonant, out-of-this era voice and move you with her honest, charismatic delivery. She is well known for her passionate singing and her unique and resonant voice. Hutt’s original song “I Should Have Changed” was just placed in the top 10 female songs of 2022 in BLUES AND ROOTS RADIO INTERNATIONAL SONG CONTEST. Christina is currently writing and recording new music with Canadian Music Hall Of Fame inductee, multi-instrumentalist, producer, Jeff Bird of the legendary Cowboy Junkies.

SEAN COTTON is a brilliant musician, composer, singer & arranger/conductor whose sold out productions “Acoustic Floyd, Acoustic Zeppelin, Acoustic Fleetwood Mac & Acoustic Tina” you may have seen lately. He also created the sold out multi-artist tribute concert to Gordon Lightfoot at the Rene Caisse Theatre. After a successful 20 year stint as an international touring and recording artist in the songwriting-performing duo The Undesirables with Corin Raymond, Sean Cotton retired from the road, settling in the Almaguin Highlands. The road’s loss is Muskoka’s gain. Sean writes, plays & sings of life, involving us all in the journey.

MIKE (LOPEZ) PHILLIPS is a fine singer & a brilliant musician; if it has strings or keys, Mike plays it well. He has a big baritone voice & a great way with a song. Not only does he relate well with audiences, he entertains them, all while personally inhabiting his songs, whether an old time country tune, a familiar sing along or one of his own nicely crafted songs. Raised in the “kitchen parties” of PEI, he travelled to the streets of Vancouver, learning how to squeeze the accordion, moved to Toronto singing and picking guitar & playing bass with the jugband Jughead, which wrote & recorded the “Hockey Song” in ‘93 & was awarded a gold record. Performing on the accordion, banjo ukelele, 6 & 12 string guitar, & stand-up bass, Lopez continues to delight audiences with his eclectic mix of “roots” music, classic & original.
