Muskoka Lakes Museum

The Muskoka Lakes Museum is situated in the centre of the village of Port Carling, located on scenic James Bartleman Island Park, adjacent to both the large and small locks. Portraying cottage country’s unique history, the museum features interactive displays, children’s activities, illuminating lectures, intriguing walking tours and special events. Be sure to stop in at our gift shop before you leave which is filled with Muskoka books, souvenirs and kids stuff. Picnic tables and washroom facilities are located on the island as well, so plan to spend a day with your family at the Muskoka Lakes Museum.
