Downtown Gravenhurst

The Gravenhurst Business Improvement Area (GBIA) was established in 1979 through a by-law by the sitting council in the Town of Gravenhurst. The GBIA acts as a unifying body for its membership working to make Historic Downtown Gravenhurst a destination for both seasonal and year-round residents. It focuses on development of the downtown area through beautification, destination marketing and business attraction.
The GBIA is governed by a Board of Directors that serve a 4-year term in line with the Municipal elections. The Board adheres to the Municipal Act and the Consolidated Procedural By-Laws.
The current BIA boundaries run from Church & Brown Streets in the north to Phillip Street in the south to First Street in the east and John Street in the west.
