Summer Vacation From Algonquin Park to Parry Sound

By Kate
June 25, 2013

School’s out for two glorious months! Time to pack for your unforgettable summer vacation to Algonquin Park, the Almaguin Highlands, Muskoka, Parry Sound and Loring-Restoule!

With thousands of sparkling blue lakes to cannon ball into, trails to hike, water sports to try and tons of entertainment for the whole family, a visit to Explorers’ Edge is the perfect way to celebrate the sunny, hot weather Canadians treasure.

Summer VacationFor families with young children, Santa’s Village in Bracebridge is a must-do spot on any summer itinerary. The Big Fella in the red suit is back from the North Pole and brought his elves and reindeer with him. Not to mention terrific rides, entertaining shows and an entire Sportsland for the older kids.

Explorers’ Edge is a camping paradise, with over a dozen provincial (and one national) parks to pop your tent, including iconic Algonquin Park. Many of them have visitor information centres and programming for educational events. (How about a guided wolf howl? Or a “guided walk for kids’?) Rent all the equipment you need for your camping expedition at one of the many outfitters here.

canoeingWe’re also known for our variety of resort experiences, from a fully-loaded and pampered getaways, to more private cottage resort rentals. A nice way for the family to relax and get away from it all.

Check out our Special Offers page for some ideas on how to make your summer vacation even better.

The perfect getaway is waiting for you in Explorers’ Edge. We hope you’ll enjoy two months of awesome summer fun here in Algonquin Park, the Almaguin Highlands, Muskoka, Parry Sound and Loring-Restoule. Have a GREAT time!
