Snowmobiling in the Great Canadian Wilderness
Hit the sleds this winter in the Great Canadian Wilderness and explore thousands of kilometres of maintained snowmobiling trails throughout this beautiful winter wonderland. Three OFSC districts (7, 10, 11) are located within the boundaries of the region, and a vast selection of year-round accommodations and restaurants are located on or close to trails.
Check with local accommodations to see if they offer snowmobile rides or rentals on site. Do some touring on one of the most unique routes in the province, the RAP (Round Algonquin Park) ride, or join your fellow riders at special events like the annual Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Snow Run – one of winter’s most popular fundraisers.
