For your safety, comfort, and enjoyment, please dress appropriately for your dog sledding tour. All guests must wear warm winter clothing, including snow pants, a winter jacket, insulated boots, a warm hat that covers your ears, gloves or mittens, wool socks, layered clothing, and a scarf or face covering. Goggles or sunglasses are recommended, and hand/foot warmers are optional. Each sled comes with a passenger blanket.
North Ridge Rancge reserves the right to turn away improperly dressed participants; no refunds will be issued.
This is a self-guided package. Guests are responsible for transportation between the two locations.
Day 1 – Arrival & Check-In
3:00 PM: Arrive at Muskoka Beach House Resort and check into your cozy lakefront cabin.
Settle in and enjoy the serene surroundings of Sparrow Lake.
6:00 PM: Enjoy a romantic three-course dinner for two at The Pines Restaurant (on-site), included in your package.
Day 2 – Dog Sledding Adventure
Morning is free to relax in your cabin and enjoy the full kitchen (bring your own breakfast and snacks).
11:30 AM: Scenic drive to North Ridge Ranch in Huntsville. Allow extra time for winter driving conditions.
1:00 PM – 4:30 PM: North Ridge Ranch for your Half-Day Dog Sledding Tour. Receive a hands-on lesson, then guide your own team along 20 km of private bush trails. Stop midway for hot chocolate, photos, and time with the dogs.
Return to Muskoka Beach House Resort to relax in your cabin. For dinner, you can dine on your own in the cabin or stop in nearby Huntsville, Bracebridge, or Gravenhurst — we’re happy to provide local recommendations.
Day 3 – Departure
Enjoy a leisurely morning in your cabin before checking out and heading home.
