A Storybook Winter Weekend in Muskoka
Our limited-edition winter package launches soon…

January 29–31, 2027 | Two nights | Only 10 packages available

Something special is coming this winter. Discover the Bracebridge Fire & Ice Festival, wander through Sandhill Nursery’s Forest of Light, and enjoy two nights in Muskoka.

There’s something special about Muskoka in winter. Snow-covered streets, a lively downtown, and the kind of evenings that invite you to bundle up and stay outside a little longer.

Spend a winter weekend discovering two very different sides of the season. In Bracebridge, the annual Fire & Ice Festival brings the community together for a day of winter fun. Then, as evening falls, make your way to Sandhill Nursery in Huntsville, where Forest of Light transforms the landscape into an illuminated outdoor experience.

Between the festivities, settle in for two nights at Tru by Hilton Bracebridge, your home base for exploring more of Muskoka at your own pace.

It’s a weekend with a little bit of everything: small-town winter energy, glowing forest trails and time together away from the everyday.

Your winter story starts here

Fire & Ice Festival | Downtown Bracebridge

On January 30, head downtown for the Bracebridge Fire & Ice Festival. Winter takes centre stage as the town fills with festival activities, entertainment and plenty to discover. Spend the day exploring, taking in the atmosphere and enjoying one of Bracebridge’s signature winter events.

Forest of Light | Sandhill Nursery, Huntsville

When the daylight fades, follow the glow to Forest of Light at Sandhill Nursery. Illuminated trails bring a different kind of beauty to the winter landscape, creating an evening experience that feels a world away from the bustle of the day.

Choose your Forest of Light visit for January 29 or 30, and make it the highlight of your first evening or the perfect finish to your festival day.

Stay a little longer | Tru by Hilton Bracebridge

Make yourself at home at Tru by Hilton Bracebridge for two nights. With your accommodation and admission to both experiences arranged in advance, you can spend less time coordinating plans and more time enjoying your weekend.

About Us

Good trips connect you to a place. Great ones connect you to the people who make it what it is.

The Great Canadian Wilderness brings together bookable experiences, local businesses and the stories that make this region of Ontario worth exploring.

Behind the scenes, our parent organization, Explorers’ Edge, works alongside tourism operators and communities across Algonquin Park, the Almaguin Highlands, Loring-Restoule, Muskoka, Parry Sound and South Algonquin. As a not-for-profit regional tourism organization, we help local businesses grow, bring experiences to market and create opportunities that support the people and places that make this region special.

Through The Great Canadian Wilderness, we connect travellers with these businesses and experiences, making it easier to discover the region through the people who know it best.

We’re also proud to be Rainbow Registered, reflecting our commitment to welcoming and inclusive travel.
