Course site
Our meeting location at 8:30am on day-1 is:
Ahmic Lake Resort, Robinson Rd, Ahmic Harbour, ON P0A 1A0.
It is just north of Muskoka, 1 hour south of North Bay, 3 hours north of Toronto, and 2 hours south east of Sudbury.
The Magnetawan is the best whitewater and swiftwater rescue training river in Ontario west of the Ottawa. It has a variety of great rapids and good water volume. There are a number of different river sites that we use for training, all within a 20-minute drive of our meeting location.
The ‘Mag’ flows from its headwaters in Algonquin Park to Georgian Bay.
