February 27 – Unite For Good Gathering
Anishinaabek Knowledge Sharing – Indigenous Storytelling Month
You are warmly invited to join us for the inaugural Unite For Good Gathering, hosted at The Charles W. Stockey Centre for the Performing Arts and Bobby Orr Hall of Fame in Parry Sound, Ontario, held Friday, February 27, 2026, during Canada’s National Indigenous Storytelling Month.
This special evening welcomes students, educators, community leaders, and genuine friends of the Original Peoples’ from all walks of life to come together in unity and friendship. The Unite For Good Gathering, shared solely through an Anishinaabek lens, will feature oral storytelling, song, drumming and living traditions passed down from generation to generation—where stories embody resilience, song carry truths, and the beat of the drum connects us all to the sacred heartbeat of Mother Earth.
More than an evening of education, this Gathering is reconciliation 101 in action. It honours the voices of the Original Peoples’, uplifts cultural truths, and builds a shared space of friendship, learning, and healing. Together, guided in a good way—the Anishinaabe way—we walk forward in unity as friends of the First Peoples’ to strengthen mutual respect today, while carrying ancestral oral teachings forward for future generations and for those yet to walk Mother Earth. Presented by the Rotary Revival Club of Parry Sound and the Friends of the Original Peoples’ Society, this event supports youth of West Parry Sound, higher learning and indigenous youth singing, dance and drumming teaching opportunities.
Partnerships are limited; we invite you to reserve your seat today as a proud Friend of the Original Peoples’ of Mother Earth.
