May 4 – Spring Ecology & Foraging – Lake of Bays

This spring-focused foraging walk will introduce participants to many wild and weedy plants that can be harvested in the Muskoka region.
During this class, Laura Gilmour of Wild Muskoka will introduce a number of wild and weedy spring edible and medicinal plants that grow in this region and outline interesting and easy ways to incorporate wild plants into your everyday life. She will also focus on safety and sustainability and general ecological knowledge important to anyone interested in foraging. Come dressed for the outdoors with sturdy shoes, a water bottle and a notebook.
