Legend Spirits Co.

Legend Spirits Company is a distillery, hand-crafted cocktail bar, restaurant and retail shop located on the historic Seguin River in downtown Parry Sound. Local couple Raymond and Susan Boyden, along with longtime family friend Steven Joyce, have teamed to create some of Canada’s finest spirits in one of our country’s most breathtaking landscapes. A lot of legends have sprung out of the Canadian Shield around Parry Sound, and our distillery and restaurant celebrate them.
Working with the bones of 15,000 square foot former Crofter’s Jam Factory, Ray and a handful of dear friends (who also happen to be some seriously talented tradesmen) have transformed the ground floor into a traditional distillery where Master Distillers Andrii Svyrydov and Dan Ferchat concoct their small batch Whiskeys, Vodkas and Gins into more than a dozen products including our popular Watermelon Vodka, Nutski Peanut Butter Whisky and Mango Pineapple Gin.
Above the distillery and through our soaring post-and-beam entryway, enter the great room that is our restaurant and its lively bar, the bar’s centerpiece cut from a massive and locally harvested white pine. The spacious restaurant gives way to a stunning 1,500 square foot wood and glass deck overlooking the Seguin River and Parry Sound’s famed CPR trestle bridge. It’s the perfect place to sip a drink and enjoy a dish from our carefully curated menu. On the way in or out, visit the retail store where you can sample some of our libations and pick up a little gift for that special someone.
“Right here where the river meets Georgian Bay has been a meeting place for hundreds of years,” Ray explains. “This is the world’s deepest freshwater port. You can set sail from here and circumnavigate the globe. It’s a magical spot, and we try to capture a little of that in our hospitality and in our food and drinks.”
Before you head out on your journey, though, stop by and bottle up a little magic. Become a part of creating this legend in the making.
