Dorset Heritage Museum

Dorset Heritage Museum features museum exhibits of early pioneer life, local settlers, traditional logging practices, and historic information pertaining to pioneer settlement of the Dorset area. Our museum operates around a CARE strategy, which we promote by ‘C’elebrating and communicating our historical significance, ‘A’ppreciating the contributions of our ancestors, ‘R’evitalizing our community, and ‘E’ducating our children and visitors through exciting activities. As well as preparing information and exhibits for adults, we feature exhibits for our youth to engage them through participation in entertaining and informative activities. The Museum gives talks and participates in local community events year round and opens upon request in off-season.
