David Francey is a Scottish-born, Canadian-raised carpenter-turned-songwriter known as one of Canada’s most revered folk voices. A former rail yard and bush worker, he began writing poetic songs on the job and only started performing in his 40s with encouragement from his wife, artist Beth Girdler.
