September 23 – An Evening on Truth & Reconciliation With Marie Wilson

Marie Wilson is a celebrated journalist, educator, and leader with a career spanning over three decades. She served as one of three commissioners on the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada, where she courageously brought to light the painful legacy of residential schools for Indigenous children. Beyond her pivotal role in the TRC, Wilson has made significant contributions as an award-winning journalist of 35 years, senior executive at CBC North, and an advocate for Indigenous representation in media. Her numerous accolades, including the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal, Order of the Northwest Territories, the national Meritorious Service Cross and the Order of Canada, underscore her unwavering commitment to truth, justice, and reconciliation.
