August 12 – Maple Trees & Lab Coats
Learn all about the Friends of the Muskoka Watershed’s ASHMuskoka research with our scientists plus partners from Trent University. Join us for a guided 1 km hike at Camp Big Canoe (Bracebridge) where we have test forests to study the addition of calcium wood ash and how it impacts our trees. Learn about the tools used to study forest health, see our test plots and do some ash addition to help with forest restoration.
After the hike, enjoy some live entertainment and then a Q &A with Dr. Norman Yan and partners from Trent University.
