Festival of the Sound is a world-renowned chamber and classical music festival in scenic Parry Sound. Under Artistic Director James Campbell the Festival has grown to cover three weeks in July and August, including dozens of concerts across the musical spectrum and featuring the finest artists from across Canada and around the world.

Olivier Messiaen’s life was turned upside down when he was interned in a POW camp at the beginning of the War, forcing him to seek refuge in his music and his Catholic faith. The result is considered the greatest chamber music work of the 20th century.
