Your room at Taboo
You get 300 square feet of quiet comfort, two queen beds, and views over the resort grounds. It is a warm, easy space to come back to at the end of the day. Taboo sits right on Lake Muskoka, with the water, the trails, and the Boathouse Restaurant all steps from your door.
An afternoon on Lake Muskoka
On Thursday, you board the Wenonah II for a 1.5-hour cruise across the lake. A local historian narrates the route, past small cottage islands and the grand lakeside estates that draw visitors from around the world. It is the best seat in the house for early fall colour on the water.
The story of Norman Bethune
Gravenhurst is the birthplace of Dr. Norman Bethune: a battlefront surgeon, a medical pioneer, an early voice for universal health care in Canada, and a cultural icon in China. His story is told through interactive exhibits, film, art, and statues at the Bethune Memorial House National Historic Site, a short trip from the resort. Your admission is included and can be used Thursday or Friday.
