When you’re riding through Muskoka, you never want it to end. And when you’re riding in support of cancer research, you never want to stop. So in celebration of the fifth anniversary of Northern Pass, we’re introducing The Gravel Ride for 2021.
This is a new, gravel-specific ride taking place on Sunday August 8, the day after the traditional road event. It’s open to everyone, whether you want to ride both days or simply take on some of the best gravel roads and ATV trails that Muskoka has to offer. And of course, the funds you raise benefit breakthrough cancer research at The Princess Margaret. You’ll need to raise $1,000 to participate in The Gravel Ride or $1,750 if you’re riding both days. We know this announcement comes at a time when Ontario is facing more challenges, but we remain optimistic about having safe, in-person rides later this year. Staying hopeful for a brighter future will help us have a bigger impact.
Full route details will be announced soon but expect to cover 60-70km as you explore forest and gravel lanes, taking in beautiful scenery and lakeside views as you ride rolling hills on mixed terrain. Just like the road event, The Gravel Ride will start and end in Annie Williams Park in Bracebridge, Ontario.
For new riders, register with the code NPGRAVEL and your $50 registration fee will be credited towards your fundraising total. There are only 100 spots available, so register now — and don’t forget your gravel bike.
