August 7-15 – Muskoka Chautauqua Summer Festival

The roots of the Chautauqua movement lie in several concepts, including elements of the Lyceum movement, which attempted to raise the level of public education with lectures, readings, and entertainment, all with a goal of life-long learning and self-improvement. Today, Muskoka Chautauqua looks to continue in this tradition by offering residents and visitors to Muskoka access to a wide variety of arts, culture and heritage programming designed to inspire and engage.

Join us in our outdoor theatre in the woods for this year’s ten-day festival, overlooking the shores of Lake Rosseau in the historic village of Windermere.
