Jim Allen plays a wide range of music on acoustic guitar and harmonica including blues, folk, country, jazz standards and “old time” songs. Often compared to John Prine, his sound is earthy and heartfelt, as he covers artists from Muddy Waters to Bob Dylan, and Duke Ellington to Hank Williams. He has appeared as an opening performer at the Etwell Concert Series, and has played band-shell concerts, arts and craft shows, cafes, and farmers’ markets throughout Muskoka and Parry Sound for over fifteen years.
