May 6 – Jaycee King

Jaycee King (born Jayden Jean on November 27th 2001 in Cochrane, ON) raised on metal, rock and country. Growing up with influences such as Metallica, Myles Kennedy, Eric Church and singer, songwriter and guitarist (Mitch Jean) as a father, King was destined to fall onto a musical path. He started playing guitar at the age of 12 and began singing at the age of 15 due to loosing the lead singer for his former band (Rocktread) in highschool and also greatly idolizing the frontman of Metallica, James Hetfield. At the age of 16 Rocktread came to an end, King went on to join his father’s country rock band (Mitch Jean) as a guitarist and vocalist and earned a ton of songwriting, singing, band and stage experience. After graduation, King attended a music production course at Cambrian College in Sudbury, Ontario. He then started a small guitar teaching business in the area of Temiskaming Shores, Ontario.

Jaycee King now has departed from Mitch Jean (August, 2022) to go solo and is attending recording engineering program at Canadore College in North Bay, On. He’s formulating new hard hitting country rock and using everything he learned and experienced from playing with Mitch Jean at his advantage. Music that consists of personal/fictional events and songs that will be on the debut album Project K. But now King is releasing singles, working on building his following in Northern Ontario where he was born and raised.
