Algonquin Park Gate to Gate – Packages

Canada’s first provincial park was established in 1893 and spans more than 770,000 hectares of breathtaking wilderness terrain. Days move a little slower here as you pass the time hiking and biking, or paddling more than 2,500 lakes and rivers that are everywhere you turn. (Algonquin is home to the best canoeing in Canada.)

Algonquin Park was also the inspiration for Canada’s most famous painters (The Group of Seven), a hundred years ago, and it remains a prime destination for travellers seeking to connect with and rejuvenate in nature. The camping is second to none, and plenty of accommodations can be found for those who want a less rustic experience.

The Lake Opeongo access point (access # 11) offers excellent access to the central canoe tripping area of Algonquin Park. The store is located right at the access point, at the south end of Lake Opeongo in Algonquin Park. They offer canoe and kayak rentals, complete outfitting, water taxi service, as well as an outstanding selection of gear.

Algonquin Outfitters Guided Canoe Trip Package

Why go on a guided trip? Whether it lasts a few days or a week, a guided canoe trip is ideal for families or groups of friends seeking the extra level comfort that comes with having an experienced, personable and knowledgeable guide accompany them. A guided trip allows the first-timer to comfortably experience what can be an intimidating and easily underestimated wilderness environment. People with previous canoe-camping or wilderness travel experience find that having a guide along helps them build new skills and possibly undertake a more challenging route than they would on their own. Families discover that having a guide there to take care of the “nitty-gritty” details of the trip allows them more time to enjoy and share the special wilderness experiences found in Algonquin Park.

Enhance your Algonquin Park experience by booking a custom guided trip with a skilled and knowledgeable canoe trip guide. Algonquin Outfitters offers options for both guided day trips and overnight experiences. For multi-day canoe camping trips, you can choose the guiding level that suits your needs and budget best: our exclusive Custom Guided Trip, the innovative “Guide for a Day” option or the shorter “Greenhorn Service.”
